KALISPELL, Mont. — Kalispell firefighters responded to a fire at the Meridian Mini Storage Friday morning. The call came in around 9:10 a.m., and Fire Chief Dan Pearce tells NBC Montana it's apparent the fire was burning for some time before it was reported. He said many of the units were on fire when crews arrived. In a building of 20 units, we're told 12 were a total loss. There was no electrical service to the units. Pearce says crews had to use an excavator to help with overhaul. Fire and police investigators are still working to determine the cause of the blaze.
